MAJOR PRODUCTS
Kuras Garden is the leader in organic moringa production and processing for both domestic and international consumption.</p> <p>We produce and process high quality citrus products. We employ high level water management system, producing all year round citrus products.</p> <p>Kuras Garden has diversified into seasonal maize production with the support of the GIRAV Project. At the Sotokoi farm site, a 10 hectare maize farm is ready for harvesting and processing for our poultry farm.
Kuras Garden Family Enterprise products
At Kuras Garden integrated farming practice, we employ high level of duty of care in growing, producing, processing and packaging of all our products. We are organic moringa certified and ourtraining center qualifies young people and women in the communities to work in our farm.
Kuras Garden products includes organic Moringa powder and oils, Citrus (orange) fruits and juices, Vegetables (Hot Chili Pepper, Garden Eggs, Okra, and Bitter Tomato etc). We’ve started small scale grapes and strawberry production. Our high quality livestock breed (Sheep and Cattle) meet the ever growing demand on meat particularly for the Muslim feast of Tobaski.
THE CROPS
Kuras Garden has embarked on maize production with the support of the GIRAV Project. With over 70 hectares cultivated during the rainy season in WCR and CRR, we are committed to increasing production and productivity to support feed production for the poultry sector. Maize is the main source for poultry feed production. The Gambia poultry sector is predominantly dependent on Senegal for poultry feed. The greatest challenge for feed producers in the Gambia!
FRESH FRUITS
Citrus cultivation is Kuras Garden main investment with over twenty-two hectares under full production. There up-to six delicious varieties of oranges and mandarins targeting the domestic market consumption. Orange juice processing for value addition is the currently at the heart of Kuras Garden initiatives. With production volumes of up to 20 tons per hectare, we are confident to supply well over 150,000 liters of fresh juice into the Gambia market. Arrangements with external source will certainly boost the processing volumes. Kuras Garden has trials to diversify into Grapes, Strawberry and Ananas production. Small areas are under production at the Sotokoi farm with very good results.
FARM LIVESTOCK
Cattle rearing for meat production has been our latest business engagement. We currently keep a small herd of cattle, local Ndama breed for meat production. We envisage a rapid development in this business active in the months and years ahead. Kuras Garden are also well known for our quality Ram Sales. We rear and undertake extensive sheep fattening to meet the high demand during the Tobaski Ram Sales. Our prices are very competitive and affordable. We have also been actively involved in the production for egg and poultry meat. The Garden has the capacity to rear up to 10,000 birds (broilers and layers). We provide regular supply of eggs and poultry meat to our valued customers in the Greater Banjul Area and the provinces particularly Farafenni, a border town and heavy consumer of eggs.
FRESH VEGATABLES
This 2024/25 production year will witness our most extensively production of vegetables (Chilly Pepper, Garden Eggs, Bitter Tomatoes and Sweet pepper) thanks to our advance production techniques and use of farm power. Kuras Garden tractor mounted ridge maker and use of plastic mulch and other locally produced organic ingredients for plant root enhancement and development has significantly improve our productivity and quality of vegetable products. “The Small but dedicated team responsible for this incredible revitalization of Kuras Garden vegetable production are extremely proud and gratified of the development”.

SUNUTractor delivers timely and affordable farm mechanization services whenever and wherever you need it. We provide access to farmers in need of tractors, farm implements and other post-harvest equipment (including ploughing, harrowing, sowing, spraying, threshing, milling, oil pressing, etc) SUNUTractor through its digitalized services brings farmers and farm equipment owners into a single platform. The business offers farm equipment owners information about fuel use, maintenance, and more on each of the services provided through its system whilst ensuring that farmers have access to timely and affordable farming equipment throughout the farming season.
